A friend came to visit and we took a little day trip to Bruges, Belgium. It was a great day. However, it started off a lil shaky...I got taken...yes...to the cleaners. Not really, but I lost 5 euros in the deal. You see, this distressed man walked over to where we were waiting for the train (at 6:15am, mind you) telling of his misfortune in losing his train ticket and needing to make a phone call. At first, I thought, yeah right buddy. But then I thought, what if he really needs helps. He went into this whole scam of a line and I think really only wanted 1 euro, well he got 5 when I handed him a 10 (WHAT WAS I THINKING?!?!) and he handed me back 5 euros in coins. He said he'd bring back the change, but being that he never took off his dark sunglasses and he had "those" teeth, I knew those were euros I'd never see again. (5 euros=roughly $7.50) I was pretty frustrated with my lack of street smarts at the time, but eventually got over it and enjoyed the day...

Are you sure you STILL want to go to the top?

Many, many stairs later...

A Beligian view.

You'd be happy too if you were at the Belgian Chocolate Museum!

Chocolate!

And, chocolate!

A Beligian couple...probably speaking Flemish
