I'm trying to prepare as much as possible for my life in Paris by attempting to refresh my language skills, studying the culture and learning about the people. I'm on the verge of really being captivated by the city. I cannot imagine what I will feel when I arrive! At the same time, I am pretty emotional about leaving the familiar. How great the adventure that lies before me in the famed City of Light! Stay tuned to this page as I fill it with pictures and stories of my experiences crossing cultures.
The quote in the title is by Charles de Gaulle. It says, "France is the light of the world, her genius lights the universe." I hope to see the Light of the Universe truly illuminate The City of Light.
